Bolaght Mountain
Description: An excellent upland route along the southern ridge of the Derg Valley.

Panoramic views of North West Tyrone and central Donegal can be appreciated. The hike includes numerous sites of ecological interest.

Bradan Walk
Description: This walk through Lough Bradan Forest starts from a parking area near the forest entrance and continues west along the Ulster Way as far as Carrickcrogher, before heading north, then east past a dolmen chambered tomb and standing stone, ritually erected thousands of years ago by ancient man.

Drumbane Trail, Glenullin
Description: This waymarked route starts and finishes in the car park opposite Glenullin Chapel, following quiet country roads, farm lanes and open hillsides to reach the summit of Drumbane.

Panoramic views of the Antrim hills, Bann valley and North Sperrins hills are offered from summit.

Errigal Glen Trail, Glenullin
Description: This low level circular waymarked trail starts and finishes at the Errigal Bridge entrance to Errigal Glen approximately two miles west of Garvagh. The trail includes a section along the Agivey River through the beautiful wooded Errigal Glen.

Points of interest along the route include an ancient inauguration stone and the remains of Errigal Old Church and Souterrain. (Advice: Please note sections of this route are along wood trails, country roads and grass pathways.)

Description: Route from Glenshane Pass over Mullaghmore, White Mountain, Glenshane Mountain and Corrick and rejoining Glenshane Forest with views of the high Sperrins, Lough Neagh and North Coast. Care is required over the open mountain section.

Mullaghaneany
Description:
Linear and circular routes available. Walk follows forest track initially, then open mountain to the summit and returns by same route. The third highest peak in the Sperrins offers breathtaking views of the region. Challenging route for experienced walkers.

Pigeon Top (Pollnalaght)
Description: This walk starts in Drumquin town and climbs uphill for 3km to the summit of Pollnalaght (also known as Pigeon Top). Looking back along the road (northwest) it is possible, on a clear day, to make out the distinctive sugar-loaf profiles of Errigal and flat-topped Muckish in Donegal.

Further north the distant hills of Inishowen come into view, while further to the east lie the slopes of Bessy Bell with its wind turbines. A mass rock used in Penal times lies on the southern slopes of Pigeon Top.

Robbers Table
Description: To undertake this challenging hill walk it is advised to park any vehicles at Gortin Glen Forest Park and walk approximately 2km to the starting point on Lisnaharney Road and then begin the climb up Lisnaharney Public Right of Way and over the western side of Curraghchosaly Mountain and then back south over Ballynatubbrit via Robbers' Table along Eskeradooey Public Right of Way.

Slieve Gallion (Iniscarn)
Description: This circular route follows a waymarked trail through Iniscarn Forest upwards to a cairn on the basalt mountain top — the burial place of Callan, the grandson of Colla Uais, a figure from pre-history named as a High King of Ireland.

The route allows for picturesque views of the surrounding region — taking in Lough Neagh, the Antrim plateau in the distance and northwards to Lough Foyle and Donegal

The Bessy Bell Loop
Description: Covering the western slopes of Bessy Bell passing the wind farm and descending onto the Baronscourt Road. At the summit on a clear day, breathtaking views can be enjoyed of the Derg Valley to the west, the high Sperrins to the east, Strabane to the north and Omagh to the south.

Bessy Bell and Mary Gray were characters in an old Scottish folk tale and it is believed that this hill, and that of Mary Gray on the eastern side of the River Strule were named after these characters by Scottish settlers nearly 400 years ago — perhaps to remind them of home...

Tullyard Walk
Description: This walk travels uphill north, then northwest from Drumquin with views eastwards back towards Drumquin with Pollnalaght behind it and Bessy Bell lying further to the northeast.

As the route travels eastwards again, a lovely waterfall can be seen to the right at Carrickaness Bridge. In the past a corn-mill and a Mass Rock existed at this bridge. The route then passes by the Liskey Church ruins and graveyard and Lower Langfield Church before heading back to Drumquin.
